Dotted across the landscape on towering cliff sides and luscious lake sides, the majority of these temples are still actively used as a place of worship for the local Balinese Hindus. Brahma Vihara Arama is a Bali Buddhist Temple that was built at the end of the 20th century Christian precisely in 1960 and after 1970. It was officially opened in 1973. The area has been expanded to be able to build a Borobudur Miniature located in the south of the Brahma Vihara Arama. Basically, there are 5 building complexes at Brahma Vihara. Brahma Vihara Arama is the largest Buddhist monastery in Bali and this monastery is better known as the Banjar Buddhist Temple. Brahmavihara-Arama is located in the village of Banjar Tegeha which includes the Banjar sub-district, Buleleng regency and is located about 22 km west of Singaraja or 11 km from the tourist area of Lovina. Brahma Vihara Arama is the largest Buddhist temple in Bali. Over a two-hour drive from Ubud and Denpasar, this monastery is a secluded site in the hills of Banjar Village. With the lush green slopes on one side and a view of the North Bali Sea on the other, it's no wonder that locals and tourists choose this spot for some peaceful meditation.
