Stubb's Falls Trailhead: This Stubb's Falls trailhead starts at the parking lot directly after the Park's store (up the small hill).This trailhead adds a bit more distance and elevation to the hike and follows the Hardwood Ridge Trail. Cross Country Skiing There are 28 km of classic ski trails and 16 km of skate ski trails, ranging from beginner to expert level. The annual Muskoka Loppet takes place in the park in January. Snowshoeing Visitors can explore the 8+ km of marked snowshoe trails, as well as off-trail snowshoeing through mature hardwood forest. Skating Big Bend Lookout has large sand slopes along the outside of the curve, cut by the current, while sand is deposited on the inside of the curve as the water slows and the sediment falls out of the water. Erosion of the outer bend forces the park to move the lookout back from the edge each year.
