Blue Waterholes campground is a favourite summer destination to explore stunning walks, creeks, and gorges. There are plenty of campgrounds to choose from across the plains, and with horse riding popular here, many offer facilities for camping with horses. Blue Waterholes camping ground is located in the Northern Plains wilderness area of the Kosciuszko National Park. There's no denying how beautiful this campsite is. This place isn't short of activities. Within walking distance, you'll find epic backcountry huts, rolling plains, waterfalls, swimming holes, caving, and beautiful gorge hikes.

This beautifully positioned campground is the perfect place to stay if you're planning to hike the Clarke Gorge and Nichols Gorge walking tracks, and explore the nature and historic huts in the Northern Plains and Wilderness area of Kosciuszko National Park. From the campsite there are lovely views of the limestone cliffs and rock. Tucked in the High Plains (northernmost part) of Kosciuszko National Park is Blue Waterholes, an area that takes a concerted effort to reach (think 40 minutes of slow driving on a gravel road). There is no reception in this neck of the woods, not even on the trusty Telstra network, which makes it an ideal digital detox getaway.
