Essentially, Streets Beach is a giant open-air swimming pool with some sand plonked next to it. But this is a city where the beach suburbs aren't all that much to write home about. The South Bank Parklands is a gorgeous oasis for visitors and locals just outside the heart of the CBD. The main attraction is the man made swimming beach, Streets Beach. This unique swimming hole is created out of imported white sands, surrounded by palm trees and full of turquoise chlorinated fresh water. It is patrolled by lifeguards 6 days.
