Carry On Reading

Carry On, by Rainbow Rowell, is a book that is meta in it's concept. It's based off of fan-fiction, about a fictional novel series, in another fiction novel, and can be related to the Harry Potter series by a sort of painting by numbers technique, if you like. It's all about the meta, to put it simply. This was a really great novel. It's sort of like an independent teenager in its relationship to Rowell's other novel, 'Fangirl', in which 'Carry On' is mentioned, sometimes quoted. However, that doesn't mean this isn't terrible. As far as language, there is plenty, but the British Isles are famous for their foul mouths. Paperback - 11 July 2019. Based on the characters Simon and Baz who featured in Rainbow Rowell's bestselling Fangirl, Carry On is a ghost story, a love story, a mystery and a melodrama. It has just as much kissing and talking as you'd expect from a Rainbow Rowell story - but far, far more monsters. Carry On is a triumph. Thrilling and sexy, funny and shocking, deeply moving and very, very magical. Trust me, you have never, ever seen a wizard school like this. --Lev Grossman, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Magicians trilogy. ISBN: 9781250135025.
