HQ Monaro Coupe Models Monaro LS Standard power train was a 202 six cylinder with either a 3 speed manual column shift on Series 1 cars and Trimatic for Series 2 cars. The LS could be optioned up with either a 253 with M20 4-speed, M21 4-speed or Trimatic, a 308 with M21 or Trimatic or the Chevrolet 350 V8 with Turbo Hydramatic auto. The iconic HQ Holden finally in plastic kit form, thanks to DDA! The HQ was in production from 1971 till 1974 with nearly half a million built. This model builds up to a HQ on steroids! Featuring a blown & injected V8, custom dash and fat 5 spoke wheels and tyres. Features opening boot and engine wiring, the box also doubles as a display stand. 35 Posted August 23, 2023 (edited) I need a bonnet for my Black blown big bock. The kits go together really good and the molds are fantastic. My only complaint is that the Supercharged kit does not come with a bonnet Here are some random images of my build. This custom HQ Monaro GTS really is not like the others out there. Built for personal use by a former HDT Mechanic, it was completely stripped down and rebuilt with new parts or upgraded parts around ten years ago.. If you are looking for a top quality street car, ready to be enjoyed, taken to shows, and turn some heads, then this HQ Monaro.
