I clean the sponge and outer filter once a month or so and it's suction is excellent it takes almost 2 batteries on turbo to do my entire house, the only complaint is the bristles on the lux head are wearing out. I'm going to upgrade to the x9 only for the extra power and new head. The Dyson V7 is a cordless stick/handheld vacuum.
