I've definitely read your posts on the most out of Highlander (Kluger) off road, TrailDust. Regarding the open diff reducing the torque to the wheels with traction when one or more wheels are of the ground, honestly, in the couple of situations when a wheel was well off the ground, I was able to power through with no problem. As a few of you will know, the Toyota Highlander (Kluger) - mine is a 2004 V6 AWD - is surprisingly capable off-road.
