This walk loops through a quiet reserve alongside Second Creek through Stonyfell and Burnside that is full of wildlife, aquatic life, and flora. You can expect generally easy walking except for one uphill climb when exiting into Kurrajong Crt. You can easily extend your walk by connecting into one of the many neighbouring reserves: Newland Reserve, Harris Reserve, Ferguson Conservation Park. The first owner of the nearby stately home Clifton Lodge, Nathaniel Knox, established an extensive garden here along Second Creek, importing many exotic species. The property was subdivided in 1976 and this park given to the people. There are remnants of those plants in the Michael Perry Botanic Reserve. The reserve is named after Michael Perry - Councillor, Alderman and Mayor from 1958 to 1983.
