Oran Park Raceway was a motor racing circuit at Narellan south west of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia which was operational from February 1962 until its closure in January 2010. The track was designed and started by George Murray and Jack Allen. Since its closure in 2010 it has been (re)developed into housing. History Oran Park Raceway was a thriving hub for motor racing activity on the outskirts of Sydney from its inception in 1962 through to its closure in 2010. Located at Narellan, the track grew from a small club circuit into one known the world over, thanks to it's figure-of-eight layout and inclusion in numerous racing games and simulators.

Grand Prix Circuit 1974 - 2010 THE SAD demise of the Oran Park Grand Prix circuit at the start of the year 2010 removed one of the great circuits from the Australian motorsport landscape. Now an extensive suburb development, Oran Park Town retains some memories of the classic old circuit including a commemorative park located at the same place as the old Grandstand on the hill. The "original" Oran Park staged its first race on a one mile circuit in 1962, and the track was subsequently expanded to 1.2 miles. 1974 saw the track expanded further, to 1.6 miles with the incorporation of a loop and cross-over bridge, resulting in one of the world's few "figure-eight" style circuits.

The land has been developed into Oran Park Town and, home to 7,000 residents, is now unrecognisable from its time as a premier racing circuit. Oran Park ahead of its final Supercars event in 2008.
