I've not heard it was banned. Firing from an open bolt is, I do know that. The gun will fire, and it doesn't make any difference if the action is cycled very quickly, or very slowly, the gun will fire, only AFTER the action is fully closed and safe. The SASS Cowboy Action term for "Slam Firing" is not correct, but sure sounds cool ! This is your "long winded version" of Slam Firing and where the term originated.
