Preheat the oven to 350 F. Prepare an 8-inch round cake pan by greasing it well with oil or butter. To the resting semolina mix add baking powder, baking soda, salt, cardamom, rose water, milk, and oil. Mix the ingredients well but take care not to over-mix. Pour in the prepared pan and bake for 35-45 mins till a toothpick comes out clean. The cake is a short cake. Let it cool for 10-15 mins. While the cake cools make the icing- mix the powdered sugar, lemon juice, rose water, and salt and mix. Pour and spread it on the cake evenly. Garnish with rose petals, roses, and pistachios as you like.

Add melted butter, warm saffron milk, curd and rose essence. Mix to form a thick batter. Pour it into the tin and bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
