Looking at Iberostar Paraiso Maya but really like the sleeping options at Grand Palladium White Sands. We'd prefer two double or queen beds AND a sleeper sofa. The Grand Bahia has a bit bigger overall area. But Grand Palladium is still massive. At any of the three there is tons to do. Also the Iberostar Paraiso complex is massive as well. On balance, Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro scores marginally better than Grand Palladium Palace Resort Spa & Casino. We have been to the Barcelo Palace, Barcelo Beach, the Palladium and just booked the Iberostar Paraiso Maya for this coming January. We love the Barcelo, great childrns programs, tons to do, awesome snorkeling right off the beach. We also enjoyed the Palladium complex but a big downer were the pools. Very deep and cold (we went in January).
