The Led Zeppelin logo is a combination of William Rimmer's pencil drawing of a rock star around 1870 and the band's stage name. Swan Song Records decided to use the drawing as its logo after seeing it. Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey Powell of Hipgnosis designed the logo in 1973.
