When we make dua, we are asking Allah (SWT) to grant the sick person a speedy and complete recovery. We are also asking Allah (SWT) to ease their pain and suffering. Making dua for the sick is a way of showing our compassion and care for them. 1) Dua for the sick Of course, when we are ill, we should seek medical attention - but we can also pray to Allah s.w.t. to help with our recovery. Dua for sickness 1 Place your right hand on the sick person or area of pain supplicate: اللَّهُمَّ ربَّ النَّاسِ ، أَذْهِب الْبَأسَ ، واشْفِ ، أَنْتَ الشَّافي لا شِفَاءَ إِلاَّ شِفَاؤُكَ ، شِفاءً لا يُغَادِرُ سقَماً Allahumma Rabban-naas, azhibil-ba's, washfi antash-Shaafi laa shifaa'a illaa shifaa'uka, shifaa'an laa yughaadiru saqamaa Dua 1 - Surah Fatiha. blow on water and drink, or blow on your hand and rub on the area where you have pain or hurt. Recite as much as you can the minimum is x3 per day. Or put hand on the person who is sick's forehead and recite surah Fatiha 11x twice a day, blow on patient and blow in water in a bottle and let the patient drink that water.

Here is a dua (prayer) that you can recite for a sick person in the hospital: "Ya Allah, the Most Compassionate and Most Merciful, We humbly beseech You on behalf of [Name of the Sick Person], Who lies in the hospital bed, unwell and in need of Your mercy. You are the Ultimate Healer, the Source of all cure, Allah Ta'ala says: وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنَ الْخَوْفِ وَالْجُوْعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِّنَ الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَنْفُسِ وَالثَّمَرَاتِ وَبَشِّرِ الصَّابِرِيْنَ And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to the patient ones. (Al-Baqara: 155)
