Welcome. The Toronto Guild of Stitchery was formed in 1975 to encourage and promote the practice of embroidery in all its forms. Our members enjoy a variety of techniques, including cross stitch, crewel, needlepoint, blackwork, whitework, schwalm, hardanger, pulled thread, drawn thread, stumpwork, goldwork, smocking, canvas work, mixed media, and machine embroidery, among others. Natalie has been invited to teach and lecture for the San Francisco School of Needlework and Design, the Embroidery Association of Canada, the Embroiderers' Guild of America, the Crewel Work Company, and Blue Bonnet Studio. In 2020, she developed a needlework school through teachable.com for in-depth online learning of history and colour. Jane Ellen Balzuweit holds teacher certifications in pulled thread and counted thread with the Embroiderers' Guild of America.
