Shoppers are invited to join in on the fun from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. HILLSIDE NIGHT OF LIGHTS. Established in 2001, Hillside's Night of Lights is a unique program that offers local non-profit groups, including schools and youth sports teams, a no-risk fundraising opportunity. Night of Lights is a private ticketed event that happens annually in November. The evening includes retailer incentives/discounts, door prizes, entertainment, appetizers and more.

Every year the residents of Hillside Avenue in Myers Park create a wonderland of lights in December. The decorations aren't typical Christmas lights, but handmade light balls, made with chicken wire and LED lights. The light balls are of all colors and, in the darkness, appear to be suspended in the air — a truly magical experience! This November, Victoria's Hillside Centre celebrates 19 years of supporting its community through their annual Night of Lights shopping evening. Over 60 non-profits across the city sell tickets to the event, retaining all the proceeds of the $5.00 ticket price for their organizations. To date, Night of Lights has raised almost one million. Victoria's Hillside Shopping Centre is once again gearing up for a night of festive philanthropy at its annual premier event, Night of Lights. Held at the shopping centre on Nov. 19, the event gives shoppers a chance to start their holiday shopping while enjoying in-store discounts, food and beverage, live entertainment and over $10,000 door.
The emphasis on person-centered care goes into program design, which is a joint venture between staff and residents so that each of the 59 individuals has the greatest opportunity to achieve their highest level of independence and accomplishment. The 6th Shining Light on Abilities display will be up at Hillside House through the end of the month. Dec. 7-30, 5:30-10 pm. Cost: Prices start at $10 and vary by night and ticket type.
