Head to Pointe Des Chenes Beach, just south of the airport. It is lovely there. Lots of parking, plus a washroom/changeroom. No restaurant or store though. This is very much a provincial park styled beach. You've got picnic tables, and lots of little beach bays to swim in. Best of all, the water is so much warmer than Georgian Bay or Lake Superior. Water is shallow which is nice for kids, however you have to walk a ways out if you want to get into deep water.
