Princess Helena VA CI GBE RRC (Helena Augusta Victoria; 25 May 1846 - 9 June 1923), later Princess Christian of Schleswig-Holstein, was the third daughter and fifth child of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert . Helena was born on May 25, 1846, but she wasn't exactly the healthiest of the royal babies. When she entered the world, she was, as her father described it, "quite blue." Although baby Helena recovered well under the care of her family's royal doctors, her birth nearly brought one of the most powerful women in the world to her knees.
