The Roam Transit 8X - Lake Louise / Banff Express bus serves 4 bus stops in the Banff area departing from Banff High School Transit Hub and ending at Lake Louise Lakeshore Winter. Many Roam bus stops features digital signage displaying arrival times; if you use a Roam stop without an LED sign, you can use your mobile device to check the real time location of all Roam buses on our Live Bus Locations page. All buses are equipped with the same electronic fare collection system (smart cards) as the Roam local service in Banff. A Roam Transit bus drives down Banff Ave in the summer towards Cascade Mountain.. Locals Tip: If you want to visit Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, catch Roam bus 8X or 8S from Banff to the Lake Louise Lakeshore. With the purchase of a Roam Transit Super Pass, you will receive free access to the Parks Canada Lake Connector shuttle from the Lake. The shuttles and Roam Transit, with one exception, take the main Trans-Canada Highway; the tours will travel the Bow Valley Parkway. Both routes are very scenic and pass some of Banff's most iconic sights, including the imposing Castle Mountain.
