Sports Illustrated Clubhouse to open in Vancouver. When Biercraft's UBC location closed earlier this May, many were left wondering what would replace it. At the time, the taphouse had hinted that "something new and exciting is coming to the neighbourhood" and that it would remain involved in whatever project took over the 3340 Shrum Lane. The Sports Illustrated Clubhouse is part of the newly formed Sports Illustrated Restaurant Group, and the Vancouver destination will serve as the flagship location. The 4,600 square foot space will be located at 3340 Shrum Lane and will feature a spacious dining room, lounge, and wrap-around bar, as well as a patio that opens up to the central. The first ever Sports Illustrated Clubhouse experience has opened its doors. A partnership between Define Group and Sports Illustrated, the 4,600 square foot site is located in Vancouver at The University of British Columbia, one of Canada's largest university campuses.
