Books always remained in the family — a decade after selling Tanner's Books, the Tanners opened Beacon Books in Sidney on 4,000 square feet. Christine, 85, continues to manage it. Tanner's Books in Sidney, BC Closed now. Love tanners in Sidney, staff is very knowledgeable in every subject. Small book store feel, which I love. They also have a great kids book area. I'd give it a 5 out of 5 today, and a 5 out 5 my whole childhood growing up in Sidney.
