The starting point is the center of Krün, accessible by the bus stop "Ortsmitte Krün". At the Maypole, you take the Schöttlkarspitzstraße to the city hall, then continue down the mountain towards the Isar. From here, go over the Isar bridge, following the green signs to the left toward the "Isar-Natur-Erlebnisweg" (Isar Nature Experience. Free parking by the Isar Bridge in Krun, then over the bridge and follow the green signs marked Isar-Natur-Erlebnisweg. The start is uphill and then around and down. The total elevation change is 80 meters over 6 km. The round trail has interesting signs in German that can help younger walkers pace the walk. There are also interactive signs.
