Gómez Gras This refuge on the Pedra en Sec GR 221 route is located on the Son Amer estate, with an area of 103 ha, located on top of a hill from which you can visually dominate the entire Lluc valley, in the Tramuntana mountains. The GR 221 - also known as "Ruta de pedra en sec" meaning "Route of the Dry Stone Walls" gains its name from the natural stone walls along the trail, which are also used for the cultivation of olives, wine and oranges on the Balearic island. From the Refugi de Tossals Verds we make a pleasant ascent towards Cúber/Refugi Son Amer. Shortly after the bridge over the Torrent des Prat, the path turns off to the north-west. We now climb steadily up to the Coll des Prat, the highest pass on the GR 221 at 1,209 m. Then slightly downhill to the Coll des Telègraf in the dry Comafreda. The tour starts from the Ca s'Amitger car park, in Lluc and continues along the Camí de Son Amer, the Camí de l'Ermita and the GR®221 path until it reaches the Mirador del Centenari del Foment, from where there are views excellent. Refuge de Son Amer, Lluc Situated at the very heart of the Sera de Tramuntana, a very short distance from the imposing Lluc monastery, son Amer is the largest of the government refuge in the Serra. It offer 52 beds in dorms/ rooms of various sizes. Food is also available. Refugi Son Amer occupies a former monastery building near the monastery of Lluc. Built on a hill top, it offers great views in every direction. All of the refugis offer bunkrooms and shared bathrooms. Blankets and pillows are provided and you must either rent sheets and towel or bring your own bivvy or sleeping bag and towel.
