Nos encontramos en Puente del Arzobispo (Toledo), población con gran tradición por la cerámica y la alfarería desde hace siglos. In Talavera de la Reina and El Puente del Arzobispo (both in Toledo) there are still communities of artisans who make ceramic objects for domestic, decorative and architectural use. The most significant aspect of their work, and the reason for this recognition, is that most of their manufacturing, decoration and glazing processes have remained unchanged since the 16th century. El Puente del Arzobispo is a municipality of Spain located in the province of Toledo, Castilla-La Mancha. The municipality spans across a total area of 0.98 km 2 and, as of 1 January 2020, it has a registered population of 1,225. The effort got a big boost in 2019 when UNESCO declared the techniques of the ceramics industry of Talavera de la Reina and the nearby town El Puente del Arzobispo, an Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Poseemos premios internacionales y nacionales de cerámica tradicional, obtenidos ya por nuestro abuelo, Pedro de la Cal. El 11 de diciembre de 2019 la UNESCO inscribió en su Lista Representativa del Patrimonio Inmaterial de la Humanidad la fabricación artesanal de la cerámica del Puente del Arzobispo por considerar que los procedimientos de fabricación, decoración y esmaltado de esta cerámica, producidos en la actualidad, siguen siendo artesanales e idénticos a los practicados en el siglo XVI.
