The bike itself appears in (relatively) good condition. I don't think it has been ridden (or started) for 20+ years. I would like to get this bike running again & start riding it at local events.

I have a 1979 349 Montesa Cota that I am going to get the engine rebuilt and as there are no workshop manuals for these can you guys tell me things like piston clearence, cylinder head tensions, casing bolt tensions, and anything else that you know about like Firing position, point gap, well i'll leave it to you guys keep the info coming as I am sure others will use it as well. 1982 Montesa Cota 349 Thank you to josep argerich for this report

By the way, the sprocket and flywheel nuts are left hand thread. this one is declared to fit 348/349.

Clutch - 300 cc - 10W-30 (I use Maxima MTL-XL 75W transmission oil for the clutches in both my modern and vintage bikes) Front forks - 210 cc per leg, 10W fork oil (any decent brand) Gas / oil - Montesa manuals recommended a 4% mixture, but with todays synthetic oils 50:1.
