The Plaza de la Verdura ( Vegetable Square) is a square of medieval origin located in the heart of the historic centre of Pontevedra ( Spain ). It is one of the liveliest medieval squares in the city. Etymology Square in documents from the fourteenth century, was known as the venue for markets of all kinds throughout its several centuries of existence, although as time went by it was consolidated as the headquarters of the daily vegetable market. On its margins there are houses that even date back to the 14th century, and also the old Light Factory.
