Camilo Blanes Cortés, known professionally as Camilo Sesto as El Rey del Amor, was a Spanish singer, songwriter and music producer. He sang in two pop bands during the 1960s and won a contest in a Madrid television show. He played a part in the Spanish filming of Shakespeare's Hamlet. Biography Spanish star Camilo Sesto started his music career while playing in a band called Los Botines, mostly influenced by the Beatles. After meeting producer Juan Pardo, the artist decided to go solo, releasing his first record, and hit songs "Fresa Salvaje" and "Algo de Mi," soon after. By 1974, Sesto was known throughout Latin America.
