Santa Katalina street, w/n Hermitage of St. Catherine , located on the peninsula of the same name, dated from the 19th century. It is a privilleged site due to the spectacular beauty of the surroundings and its strategic position at the entrance to the estuary, commanding all manoeuvres made in entering and leaving the estuary of Mundaka. A short walk northeast of town takes you on a path out to this striking stone church, which dates from 1879 but looks much older. Although it's often closed, the main attraction is the magnificent view from the headlands. On 25 November, the church is the setting for a celebration of its namesake, Santa Catalina.
