After a devastating fire in 1990, the l'Arbre d'Or covered with real gold leaves was set up by this artist to symbolize the rebirth of the forest but also a fact that nature is fragile and precious. L'Arbre d'or est inauguré en 1991 à l'entrée du Val sans Retour, sur la commune de Paimpont. Cette initiative de l' Association de Sauvegarde du Val sans Retour fait suite aux incendies qui ont ravagé plusieurs centaines d'hectares de landes et de bois en 1990. L'opération s'inscrit dans un plan de développement touristique de ce site.

L'ARBRE D'OR, UNE LÉGENDE NOUVELLE La légende la plus récente de Brocéliande, « l'Or de Brocéliande », le plus souvent appelé Arbre d'Or, s'élève là depuis 1991. Son créateur, François Davin, l'a voulu comme un mémorial à la forêt meurtrie par l'incendie de 1990.
