The municipality is made up of a number of hills known as the Begur Massif, and a stretch of coastline lapped by the waves of the Mediterranean. A direct bus from Estació del Nord (Barcelona) takes 2 h 20 mins to get to Begur, making it the easiest and fastest option to reach this village from the Catalan capital. In summer, this bus departs every 2 hours and costs around 22 € one way. In winter, the frequency drops to 2 or 3 buses per day. It is close to the Costa Brava coast between L'Estartit and Palamos.
