Gasteria ( Gasteria spp.) is a genus of relatively rare, aloe -like succulents. It sometimes goes by the common name of "ox tongue" because it typically has long leaves with a rough texture. Depending on the species, gasteria leaves also are often marked with interesting patterns and colors. Gasteria 'D.Due' is a naturally occurring whole plant mutation of Gasteria 'WT10'. It is a lovely star-shaped rosette plant with dark green glossy leaves with yellow-green dots. The genus is named for its stomach-shaped flowers ("gaster" is Latin for "stomach") that result from the swollen base on the corolla.
