Electric starter "Big pin" engine configuration Ported for high top speed The 1995 750SXi featured dual Keihin CDK 40-31 carburetors, which were replaced by two Mikuni BN40I carbs for the 1996 model year. The latter remained in production during 1995 but was discontinued for the following season. The official name of the new model was simply "Kawasaki STS," but it was more commonly known as 750 STS or STS 750, referring to its 750 engine.

It shared its roomy hull with the more advanced 750 STS, but it had a less powerful, single-carb engine configuration, rated at 63 HP. The Kawasaki 750SX was the flagship stand-up Jet Ski in Kawasaki's fleet from 1992 through 1995. It shared its 2-stroke, 743cc, vertical twin engine with the sit-down runabout 750SS but was built on a lively stand-up hull. It was replaced by the more powerful, twin-carb 750SXi, which offered an extra 12 HP. The Super Sport Xi (a.k.a. 750SS Xi) was a 2-stroke sit-down Kawasaki Jet Ski manufactured from 1992 through 1997. It borrowed its 2-seater runabout hull and most of its features from the base 750SS, but it utilized a more powerful, dual-carb engine configuration rated at 75 HP.
