Axis & Allies Miniatures is a table top tactical game that is played on hexagonal maps. The scope of the game is that of a battle or a skirmish. Each unit in the game has a point cost associated with it and before the game is played the players determine how many points they will use, usually 100 points. The Axis & Allies Miniatures Expanded Rules Guide compiles the existing rules system along with expanded rules developed with the feedback and input of avid fans and strategy gamers. Battle Scenarios challenge players on either side of the battlefield, putting tactical skills and strategic planning to the test. Axis & Allies Miniatures is a miniature wargaming system including both a rule set and a line of 1/100 scale miniature armor (15 mm figure scale) collectible miniatures. The game is set in the World War II era with units representing individual vehicles and artillery or squads of infantry. MINIATURES GAME RULES In a miniatures battle, a flight (or group) of Axis aircraft fights it out against a flight of Allied aircraft. The winner is the player whose flight either shoots down the aircraft in the enemy flight or forces them to retreat from the battle.
