Similar to its predecessor, the Spirecrest expansion adds a whole new game board which expands the scope of Everdell both in a literal and figurative sense. Each player's journey through the mountainous regions of Spirecrest is symbolised by the Traveller i.e. the rabbit who will bravely hike across the trail, unearthing new and mysterious locations along the way. Spirecrest is a more complex expansion and its rulebook recommends not mixing it with other Everdell expansions. In addition to the regular worker placement and tableau building, each player is now embarking on a journey through the mountains. There is a mountain board placed next to the main board.

Two weeks ago I played Everdell and the Spirecrest expansion at my local board game club and was not disappointed. The Spirecrest expansion adds a second set of actions to your season and does not distract you from the main objective of building your city.. I regret missing the opportunity on kickstarter for the base game let alone the. Spirecrest 's components are excellent. The saddles actually hold the workers on the big critters, which look great. The board addition fits snugly in the bottom of the Everdell board. The artwork is great, even though there isn't a lot of it, given that Spirecrest doesn't add any new cards to the base deck. Spirecrest also includes 4 new.
