A felt distance from God is often due to a disruption in trust, such as a sin or disappointment. This reality is vitally important to understand. As Christians, we want to experience intimacy with God. With the psalmist we say, "for me it is good to be near God" (Psalm 73:28). Praying Without Ceasing Paul makes an audacious statement in 1 Thessalonians 5.17 when he says, "Pray without ceasing." Is that even possible? What would that look like? What Paul is NOT saying is that we are to walk around every day mumbling "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, O Jesus, Jesus, Jesus."
