Kerak Castle is an ancient fortress located in the city of Kerak, Jordan. It is one of the most important castles in the region and has been a major stronghold for centuries. Built by the Crusaders in 1142, it was a key strategic point for them in their fight against Saladin's forces. After World War I, Kerak was ruled by the British until the Emirate of Transjordan was established in 1921.
