Lady Dustin - what an intriguing character (spoilers main) Rereading ADWD and it's amazing what you'll pick up on a third reread. I found the Theon chapters with Lady Dustin to be some of my favourites, she stands out as one of the more intriguing and mysterious characters. Lady Dustin wore black, as ever, though her sleeves were lined with vair. Her gown had a high stiff collar that framed her face. "You know this castle." I've seen Lady Barbrey's intentions discussed previously, but it is usually part of a much bigger post like the Grand Northern Conspiracy, but never one that focused solely on her goals/intentions. Lady Dustin tells a chilling story to Reek. She wants to feed Eddard's bones to her dogs. The goal is sickening. Barbrey is not alone, however. Lady Catelyn, Arya Stark, and Doran Martell are just as motivated by that negative emotion driving them towards revenge.
