pl NewGRF Industries, more commonly known as New industries is a NewGRF feature added in OpenTTD 0.6.0. It is dependant on NewGRF Houses and Newcargos. NewGRF Houses has been in the nightlies since r9315 (19.03.07) and Newcargos since r9638 (15.04.07). Use any NewGRF Industry set. Nobody likes that behavior so all of them disable it by default or have it as a setting. Rau117 • 1 yr. ago • Edited 1 yr. ago As innocenat said, you can set economy to frozen. The extended fund new industry menu Normally, you are only allowed to purchase industries which process materials, e.g. Factories, Sawmills, etc. When this setting is enabled, you are also allowed to build raw-material producing industries such as coal mines, iron ore mines, etc. FIRS is a newGRF providing new industries and cargos for OpenTTD. Online docs for FIRS can be found at http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/firs/releases/LATEST/docs/html/get_started.html To get FIRS, download it using the in-game content service, or from the #openttdcoop site at the following URL: http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/firs/ Contents OpenTTD is a business simulation game in which players try to earn money by transporting passengers, minerals and goods via road, rail, water and air. Indie Retro News OpenTTD 1.10.0 Open Source Transport Tycoon Deluxe gets a new build
Intro. Once you're familiar with how the vanilla game works, it can be fun to play a long game of OpenTTD, with NewGRFs (mods) making this possible - Or you can even just start early, and set the "Scoring End Year" setting under "World Generation" to whatever you feel like. Using a game script such as "Villages is Villages" (see below) keeps. You can jump right into FIRS gameplay. There are familiar industries and cargos you'll recognise from default OpenTTD. FIRS also adds lots of exciting new cargos and industries to play with. Primary industries like mines and farms will always produce some cargo. Secondary industries like the steel mill and cement plant will always produce some.
3. Shmelkin. • 2 yr. ago. SPI is my favourite, but it's mostly a personal preference, just try some of the most popular - SPI, ECS, FIRS, and see what you like more. There are also some more stockpile industries apart from SPI and ECS. 2. r/openttd. 1 kamnet • 4 yr. ago ECS Vectors is the main alternative to FIRS, and it can be just as complex to set up and master. However other sets such as SPI and PikkaBird/UK Industries are a bit more simple. One thing to note in FIRS: None of the primary industries, like the oil rig and oil wells, require supplies in order to produce your raw materials.

Suggestion is to start some new games in 1901, 1951, 2001, 2021, check what types of rail are available, place a depot and see how the "NewGrf" set you have built, behaves. As usual "NewGRF List" [wiki.openttd.org] is your friend: check the "Industries and Landscape" section. This is a good place to start. FIRS is hard, and some of the other ones are mental. Use Search online content in game to download and activate in New GRF settings. 2. bigbuilder5231. OP • 1 yr. ago. Hey there. When I went to go download a mod the button to download was greyed out and I couldn't press it.
