And great big it is. Enormous, in fact, and equally loud in its visual tributes to Britannia, with huge swathes of red, white and blue decorating the interior. A healthy. This otherwise unremarkable pub in the back streets south of Guy's Hospital boasts a selection of over 100 single malt whiskies, which along with its location and keenly priced Welcome to the Britannia Tavern. Located in the historic parish of St. Lukes, the site has been a home to a traditional English pub dating back to 1842, with the current building constructed in 1939. It is located a short distance from the famous Ironmonger Row Turkish Baths, a grade-two listed building constructed in 1931.

16 reviews of The Britannia "Nice chilled out pub. Huge selection of whiskeys and a broad menu of standard pub food with a little more flare than normal. I believe all the food is home made. Bombardier is on tap, and numerous other beers. The Britannia has a outside area on the left hand side, but this is not terribly attractive as it's just off the pavement in a paving slabbed area. Located down a little side road just off Kensington High street, The Britannia serves the most delicious Sunday roast in the city, and for that alone has earned a spot among the best Kensington pubs. The Britannia has been part of the London pub scene since 1834. Inside, the pub is exquisitely furnished.
