The Willem programmer is a device for programming electronic memory such as erasable-programmable read-only memory (EPROM), and electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) types. It comes as a bare PCB and this one is version PCB 5.0. Awesome! Except it doesn't mention Windows Vista or Windows 7, or anything 64-bit at all. Crap. Well, I looked in the installation directory for the Willem software that came with my Sivava programmer board, and sure enough, in C:\Program Files (x86)\EPROM50, there's an evil file named io.dll. So that's why it doesn't work.

A few years ago I posted about a way to get the Willem chip programmer to work with modern PCI parallel ports via a DLL that remapped the legacy port addresses to the ones of your modern card (in my case my card is installed at 0xCCD8 instead of 0x378). Folks, I am looking for new Willem or Arduino EPROM programmer to program MCS48 (8049/8041) microcontrollers. I found some Willem EPROM programmer on eBay but it wants DB25 parallel port and my all computers do not have LPT ports (USB ports only). Is that possible to use USB parallel adapter.
