The 50mm f0.95 is all metal, and it feels quite solid in the hands. There's also a nice hefty feel to it, similar to a rangefinder lens, which I particularly like. In addition, the focus ring is extremely smooth, and has a beautifully dampened feel to it. It has just the right amount of tension, which helps for critical focusing. Compared to the Leica alternative the 7Artisans 50mm has a closer minimum distance - 0.7m. The Leica sports a 1m limitation here. Very often even 0.7m is too far away for my taste so I am glad that the 50mm 1.1 does not use the same minimum distance as, say, a Zeiss 50mm f1.5 Sonnar. As far as I know the 7Artisans lens is based on a Sonnar.
