The BV-38 is a fictitious aircraft, albeit one that Raiders production designer Norman Reynolds extrapolated from a number of real designs, most notably the Horten Ho 229, a jet wing. Description The BV-38 was sent to Tanis, Egypt, in 1936, as part of the German expedition to locate the Ark of the Covenant, with the Germans intending to use the aircraft to transport the Ark to Germany.

Here's a few photos of mine and my daughter's Zeta BV-38s. Both were flown during the 'Ace in the Hole' Electric Fun Fly in Henderson, NVa few weeks ago. Our Zeta Wings are too much fun and relatively easy to fly! Both have been upgraded with 65A ESCs, APC 6X4 props, smaller lite wheels and detailed via spray can and airbrush. I'm searching for the model kit that was of the flying wing from Raiders of the Lost Ark. The kit was made back in 2007 by Black Sun models, it was the 1:72 scale Blohm & Voss BV-38 flying wing. I know this is a long shot but would love to own this kit.

Description This is my take on the fictitious BV-38 flying wing from Raiders of the Lost Ark, a plane that was itself a fantasy loosely based on the Horten Ho-2-29, the Northrop N-1M, and mostly the Li P.04-106. Mine is intended to mirror the original BV-38 design art, not the prop model that made it into the movie. The Blohm and Voss BV-38 was a fictional German flying wing from Indiana Jones sent to Egypt to transport the Ark of the Covenant to Berlin. Some have been asking me to build other flying wings and I thought that this fictional craft would be a fun one. Admittedly not the most stable but fun to fly none the less.
