Hephaestus Welf is thankful for all of the help that Hephaestus gave him. Hephaestus has a good opinion about Welf, but laments his decision to not make magic swords. Due to her words and some other incidents, he decided to make magic swords again only for his own Familia. Hephaestos is the Greek god of the forge, and here we see that he was changed from male to female. He was considered to be very ugly to the point that his mother dropped him when she first saw his face. In Danmachi, Hephaestos is said to be ugly by divine standarts, which is still pretty. in the anime when Hestia is telling her Familia that there should be no relationships within the Familia in order to maintain a professional atmosphere when in reality she doesn't want Haruhime getting freaky with Bell. Welf just mentions that him and Hephaestus are a thing WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN!? Hephaestus is also the Greek God of the Forge and Fire. She is an extremely skillfull craftsman, having forged the weapons, equippements and jewelry of the Greek gods. She have an unparalleled knowledge on metallurgy. She knows the secrets of all the metals and how to work them to perfection. Hephaestus shows a strict and hardworking nature.

In danmachi all gods are supposed to be beautiful, but Hephaistos has scarring or something, and she was picked on in Heaven, which is why she wears the mask. Awwww, she was already my favorite goddess but wow. That makes me feel for her. Yet Bell is just as confused by what his place is in this world. Hestia takes Bell back to Orario, partially because she misses Hephaestus and partially because she trusts Bell to take care of himself in one of the most dangerous cities in the world.
