Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un ( Arabic: إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ, ʾinnā li-llāhi wa-ʾinnā ʾilayhi rājiʿūna ), also known as Istirja (Arabic: ٱسْتِرْجَاع, ʾIstirjāʿ ), is an Arabic phrase, mentioned in the second surah of the Quran, [1] and meaning "Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return." The meaning of Allahummaghfirlahu Warhamhu. Allahummaghfirlahu Warhamhu is a prayer for people who have died which means "O Allah, forgive him and give mercy". A more complete version of this prayer reads allahummaghfirlahu warhamhu wa'afihi wa'fu'anhu which means "O Allah, forgive him, give him mercy, give him welfare, forgive him his mistake".
