The Hexanon / Hexanon AR 21 mm / F4 is of very good optical quality and renders sharp images with high contrast. Vignetting is visible with this exteme wide-angle lens, but is not too disturbing.. The 21mm f/4.0 is not Konica's widest wide angle lens, they did make a 15mm f/2.8 UC Fisheye. The 21mm f/4.0 was made in all 3 major variants.
