Unkai Terrace is a part of the all season resort Hoshino Resort Tomamu, and is situated at an altitude of 1,088 meters from sea level at the mountains of Hidaka and Tokachi in the center of Hokkaido. Although Unkai Terrace belongs to Hoshino Resort Tomamu, it can be visited by non hotel guests, too. Unkai Terrace is one of the main attraction for non-ski season. We came here during May. Stayed at the resort for the sole purpose of visiting the Unkai Terrace. Also, they recently added a new observation walkway called the "cloud walk". It's a wooden circular walkway that sticks out to the open for you to watch the Unkai.
