Banyumala is called a twin waterfall, but it's actually more like a hundred tiny waterfalls all converging into a natural pool. I think it's one of the nicer waterfalls in Bali. It would be great for a swim too, although the water is ice cold since it's in the mountains. When we went to Banyumala in the evening, we were the only people there! Banyumala Twin Waterfalls are located in North Bali about 45 minutes from Bedugul, 2 hours from Ubud and Canggu, or 2.5 hours from Kuta (click here for the exact location on Google Maps). Banyumala waterfall is just outside Wanagiri, and is a bit of a distance from Ubud. Google Maps says it takes approximately two hours, but this doesn't account for the state of the road down to Banyumala. From the turn off to the falls the road is in a poor state and is made of crumbling paving slabs. The Banyumala Twin Waterfalls is located in the Buleleng Regency of Bali, located approximately 1.5 - 2 hours away from towns like Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, and Ubud. To make things easier when visiting the waterfalls, I would recommend staying up north for a few days in a town such as Munduk. The 35 meters (114 feet) cascades are beautiful as they split into two narrow falls, thus the "twin" in the name. It's the perfect spot to start the day or de-stress in the afternoon and take a swim at the bottom of the cascades.
