Its job is to split an incoming electrical power feed into multiple secondary or subsidiary circuits. Most of the time, each of these secondary circuits will be protected with a fuse or breaker. Distribution boards, generally, involve one input and multiple outputs, which allows multiple devices to stay connected to the unit, instead of a direct connection with the main power source - making it more safe, effective, and convenient.
