I managed to get the Display port working again on the problem child monitor. Ended up hooking up a HDMI cable, going into System setup > DisplayPort Stream .and setting the option to 1.2. This managed to bring the display port back to life again. FWIW I could not get into System Setup without connecting the HDMI cable. Fix 1. Restart and Reconnect the Devices Fix 2. Update the Device Driver Fix 3. Change the Refresh Rate on the Monitor Fix 4. Check Your DisplayPort Connection Fix 5. This pointed me to my VGA card 2080ti. It's basically a simple DP flash on the VGA. Dude 3 years later and you helped me brother just bought the 4070ti and b550-f and the damn thing wouldn't boot at all with the gpu on the new motherboard I finally had something click and I put hdmi in and it booted fine.but DP worked and booted fine on my old system, you were my last option and it worked or else the mobo was going back lol.appreciate bro

HDMI works fine, able to see my post screen and RAID screen show up and enter the BIOS fine. It just won't do it with DisplayPort.. Connect the USB cable into a POWERED USB hub (the ones that have a power adapter for the electrical outlet) If you have a monitor with USB hub like me, connect the Rift S to the monitor and then from the monitor to the computer. You might want to spend a few bucks on an extension cable. That's it. I dont think the hub needs to be powered.

But according to specification, cables are not allowed to carry the DP_PWR pin. Thus regular cables without adapter do not carry power.. This is fine, I just want the sound going to my DP monitor and NOT my HDMI monitor. The ONLY solution I've come up with is to physically unplug both HDMI and DP monitors, then plug them back in, DP first. After this process DisplayPort will then be an option to output sound to. This reverts to the HDMI monitor when I reboot. This should resolve the issue. If the plug-in doesn't show up in the Audio Plug-in window, there are a couple of possibilities: The plug-in installation was unsuccessful or corrupt. Double check that it is the most recent plug-in version, then try reinstalling. The plug-in is incompatible with DP's current mode of operation (32-bit or 64-bit).
